is it possible for SonoBus "direct connection" to use a ZeroTier private network

ZeroTier has an encrypted/VPN-like setup which would off some security for SonoBus users who have their internet packets being sniffed 24/7 in countries that do such monitoring

I just tested SonoBus direct connection using ZeroTier's private address setup and the SonoBus port assignment in the direct connection tab - between 2 local PC's using their assigned ZeroTier active addresses...  but it did not work
