Hi! I'm trying to get the plugin going in Reaper on linux. Everything seems to be working except the routing. My goal is to record the mix outputs as well as individual channels by routing in reaper.

I have it instantiated on a 6-channel track. The pin routing shows 6 in, 18 out, as expected, but the plugin output pins are not labeled as they seem to be on windows; they are just "Audio Output 1", "Audio Output 2", etc. (On windows they are "Mix Output L", "Mix Output R", "User 1 Output L" "User 1 Output R", etc.)

The issue is that Sonobus seems to send the output to pins 1 and 2 only. If I interpret these (based on Windows) to be the mix output, then I'm not seeing the "User 1 Output L/R" outputs I would expect on pins 3/4. Routing in reaper all seems correct: Audio Output 3/4 goes to track channel 3/4, sonobus reaper track routes audio 3 to another track (with monitoring enabled). That works fine for sonobus plugin pin outputs 1/2 but not 3/4. So I don't seem to be getting the individual user outputs.

I have "Send Mono" enabled (but "Send Multichannel" behaves the same - presumably that is just network related).

I am currently the only person in the group, in case that affects anything (e.g. maybe it only outputs individual channels if there is more than one person in the group?)

Any ideas on what else to try? Thanks!

The output channels to which YOUR OWN channels are routed to are called Monitor Outs and most critically, they are controlled from the Input Mixer section (at the rightmost selector box), not from the main mixer. And, by default, they all go to monitoring 1-2, thus the behavior you're observing

Thanks! That was indeed the issue. I had the input mixer open but didn't realize that I had to assign the outputs.

If I'm joining the same group with the same people each session, is there any way to configure repeatable output channels for a given participant, and have those route individually every time, or do you need to manually assign every time you join a group?

Ah, replying to myself: looks like if they reconnect under the same name it remembers the mapping. Nice.
