Windows 10, desktop PC, latest W10, Pro Tools, latest version. I use SonoBus standalone.

I have port forwarding in my router (XB8, Rogers Ignite Internet 1 GB) with UDP and a range of 6000-6002, static IP. I have SonoBus set to use Specific UDP Port 6000. I have an Incoming and Outgoing Rule for SonoBus in Windows Firewall to use UDP and Port 6000.

When I click the Test button, audio is routed into and heard from Pro Tools. So my routing is correct.

Signal and audio is present in my meter in SonoBus and is heard at the remote end.

The remote end has port forwarding set. Until he did that it was "other end is muted", but that message/warning is not present now. I could see signal in his meter in my SonoBus then and see signal in his meter now, but I cannot get that signal/audio out of SonoBus and into Pro Tools.

Source-Connect works properly with the same routing.

Any suggestions? Should I disable Windows Firewall?

Previously I had a Hitron CGN3 modem with Rogers' regular 1 GB Internet service, not their Ignite service. Could it be the new modem is the issue and if so, are there any changes in its software I can make other than the port forwarding I've done?

Thanks,

Bruce Hayward

Okay, problem solved. I had the Out Level Slider turned down. Once I turned that up all was well. Technology is grand once a dunderhead figures out how to use it 🙄

I want to publicly thank Jesse who answered my support email promptly and even offered to do a test with me this weekend. Amazing support.

Please tell anyone and everyone what a great FREE program SonoBus is and donate if possible.

With the addition of VDONinja, which I've now tested alongside SonoBus, it's a very effective app for remotely recording Described Video - otherwise known as Described Audio - Dubbing, ADR and anything else that is read to and lay up to audio/video related.
