Just want to invite you to a live performance tomorrow, where we will be using Sonobus + Discord + OBS to stream a piece I wrote for the internet. There will be auditory and visual access points to the material. Tomorrow — Saturday — 5:30pm Pacific.

For the more adventurous reader:
I wrote a piece of choral music for the SF new-music group I sing with called Volti. The group is performing remotely, from living rooms, using Sonobus. Some internet connections are better than others, and I actually wrote certain quartets to simply account for latency (eg synced trio with untethered bass). There’s live moments. There’s pre-recorded videos. There’s singers flying through space (but actually). This piece combines auditory and visual storytelling to create a sort of new on-the-vanguard will-it-work? show leaning into the medium in which it's presented (the Internet).
The piece is called “Interdependence,” and it’s a theme I’d like audiences to consider by way of disability/non-disability by way of choral music by way of pandemic. I hope you’ll come. Here's the Volti website, where you can reserve a free ticket. And here’s a Facebook event.
This will be streamed on YouTube tomorrow at 5:30pm Pacific.
