Hey folks,

I'm looking for software to manage my song charts during Sonobus sessions, so that I can share my screen and have the current chart display to the other members of the group.

Occasionally during some sonobus sessions, I've seen one of the members will be sharing their screen using vdo ninja, and have a chart of the current song the group is playing, so that others can follow along with the chords. It's a HUGE help!

Any suggestions for software app you might use and like would be *awesome*, thx;

An app that
 -catalogues charts (PDF or MSWord's docx) alphabetically
  (and/or by song type or composer?)
 -has a feature to have the chart scroll as it's being played
 -works in a Mac OSX enviro

Many Thanks!!

Hi Filote
Love being on Sonobus!
One Musician, Pete, from my group, on Jsmulus sent this info with respect to your request:
I use Songbook Pro with a few other musicians. We still have to share the song's sheet music we want to play via email or download from Dropbox. It works well with Ultimate guitar app.

2nd person, Louis, from my Jamulus group:
I have limited knowledge. Songbook is the only chart organiser that I have used. It sounds as if it will satisfy your Sonobus group. It has a repository of songs from which you can create set lists (if you so desire). File formats that Songbook recognises are text, Chordpro , PDF and ?; it does not recognise word-processor. Importing and creating is one song at a time. It can connect to popular cloud-storage services. It can import via a built-in web search (front-end).

Hope these comments help.

Here is 1 reply I got from Mike L., who uses SongbookPro user in our group:

" Hey Wendy;

When I looked it up on my iPad, the App Store shows SongbookPro app (all one word).

However when I look up the app on my computer, and the App Store for computers, that app doesn’t show up. All you get is Songbook+

I only use the iPad version, so I don’t know if the Songbook+ app is the same. "

Will pass on any other responses I get.

Wendy
