Greetings from isolation in Los Angeles,
I hope you all are holding up okay in these scary and challenging times. Things are going okay here all things considered. I was planning to be in LA after some Red Baraat shows out west, but now my trip is extended indefinitely given the situation.

Us musicians are obviously struggling with this new reality of not being able to play live shows. Hopefully by the summer concerts will be back up and running, but who knows. In the meantime, I have been using this time to make short videos with musician friends all in physical isolation from each other. It feels more important than ever to collaborate right now. I have been making one of these a week with the third one starting my third week in isolation released today. I hope they lift your spirits. Please share them with anyone who might appreciate. And check out and follow all these incredible musician friends from bands like Ozomatli, Lucky Chops, Red Baraat, and more.

Music Like Dirt by Desmond Dekker with Darius Christian on trombone & vocals, Wil-Dog Abers on bass, Mario Calire on drums, Rohin Khemani on tabla, and Amelia on keytar

Dama Dam Mast Qalandar (traditional) with Lynn Ligammari on soprano saxophone, Jas Ahluwalia on tabla, Rohin Khemani on drums, Ernest Stuart on trombone, Ria Modak on guitar and vocals, and Wil-Dog Abers on bass

Ghadar Machao by me, with Daro Behroozi on saxophone, Ernest Stuart on trombone, Wil-Dog Abers on bass, Rohin Khemani on percussion, and Ashni Dave on keys and vocals

Stay tuned for more of these and more announcements about my first single release.

much love to all,
Sonny
