Update on album recording

Hi all,

It's been awhile since I've sent an update. I hope you're enjoying the season change, even if it is now suddenly getting dark at 4pm! This will just be a short one to say that recording my album is getting close to the finish line! It's been quite a journey, and perhaps unsurprisingly taking much longer than I expected. The good news is that I'm really happy with how the music is turning out, and so excited to share it with you soon.  I'll have an announcement on that front in a couple of weeks, so look out for another email from me in mid-November. 

In lieu of sharing actual tracks from the album with you right now, here is a quick smartphone version of Turiya Turiya Ja. It will be on the album with a bunch of other musicians playing besides me. The words come from the pen of Baba Farid, a 13th Century Punjabi Sufi poet whose writings are among those in the Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh scriptures. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4Qewu8pVDB/ 

In terms of live shows, the rest of the year is pretty quiet as I work to finish up the album. But stay tuned for lots of Red Baraat shows in the spring, and hopefully some solo shows too.
