Hi friends,
Times are rough in the world to say to say the least. I've been keeping busy doing a bunch of popular education and anti-oppression training work these days, and I'm grateful for all the organizing, writing, art-making, and teaching so many of you are doing to resist this seemingly global fascist tide. It's overwhelming and hard. Thank you for all you do, and thank you for your ongoing support and love.
Red Baraat has a new album coming out June 29th called Sound the People, which is a direct response to the times we're living in. Two singles have already been released on all digital platforms, and you can check out the whole album in just over a week. You can also get a sneak peak at some of the new material that we played live on
WNYC New Sounds last week, including a tune I wrote dedicated to the Ghadar Party and the 100+ years of history of Punjabi-Mexican relationships in California.
We're about to hit the road hard, beginning this weekend in California-- LA and the Bay area (including our first show in Oakland!). Then we head up to Canada, Kazakhstan and a whole lot more. See all the upcoming dates below, and
RSVP/share on Facebook if you're on there.
Onward,
Sonny
