Greetings from quarantine in LA! If you haven't seen on social media, I have been continuing to make weekly short videos collaborating with musician friends from all over. Be sure to check them out on my youtube channel, Instagram, or Facebook. And subscribe to my youtube channel while you're at it. :) I will be announcing my first single and music video release very soon.

Tomorrow, Friday 4/24, at 8pm I'll be doing a duo set with my friend Daro Behroozi, who is a the saxophone player in Lucky Chops. It's a part of a virtual festival raising COVID relief funds for South Asian, Southwest Asian, and North African communities. Our set in particular will benefit DRUM, an organization near and dear to us doing critical work with working class South Asians in Queens, NYC. All the details below on the festival. You can watch it on my Instagram page (@iamsonnysingh) or at the festival's youtube: http://bit.ly/simorghYT

Thank you, and hope you are all hanging in there,

Sonny

A LIVE, VIRTUAL, & TRANSNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL RAISING DESPERATELY-NEEDED COVID-19 MEDICAL RELIEF FUNDS FOR OUR SSWANA* COMMUNITIES GLOBALLY

* SSWANA: South Asian, South West Asian, & North African

PROJECT SIMORGH /

COVID-19 has re-shaped our lives in many permanent ways, on a global scale. And yet, while this virus can affect everyone, we are not all at equal risk. Systems and policies that make our communities vulnerable hurt our chances of survival.

If COVID-19 has taught us anything, it is that our lives and our health are interconnected globally. We cannot flatten the curve locally if our communities domestically and abroad are unable to contain the spread of infections. Our actions matter.

To do our part to support our people and communities globally, we are hosting a digital music festival raising funds for medical relief!

Sets will be livestreamed on YouTube through the Project Simorgh channel and on each performer’s Instagram page.

While the concert series is free and open to the public, we encourage you to drop $ to the vetted relief orgs/campaigns listed below, chosen in collaboration with our performers!

Official event flyer below & artist bios below - please share widely! #SimorghFest
