Hello all,

We would like to contribute some spanning tree code to sonic, so we've been looking at the roadmap, and it appears that an HLD for STP has already been reviewed (https://github.com/Azure/SONiC/pull/386).

We have running code, and we'd like to collaborate with whoever is currently working on this to see if what we have might be useful or fill any gaps in what has already been done. Is there someone on this list that we could partner with to contribute what we have?

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

The BRCM team upstreamed the following in 2019.

HLD

Code PRs

The first 3 have been accepted and merged in 2020, this includes the full protocol implementation and state machines in sonic-stp.

#1058, #648 and #3463 are the OA integration changes with SONiC, CLIs, and build rules. They require some updates to refresh, plus additional testcases to be added.

Let me know if this is what you are looking for, will be happy to discuss what it takes to bring it forward.

thanks
Adam
