statelessness of a key in app-db

hello sonic-team,

i have created couple of key entries in the app-db for an application processing (using say appTable.set (key, attrs)). I wanted to check why are the keys still stateless in the app-db ? Any api' to use to make them stateful so they can be used for transactions ?.
