Hi All,

I deployed add-topo script to deploy 4 Arista EOS VM's and deployed corresponding minigraph for SONiC DUT.

Now the port channels remain down and it cannot reach the other end IP.
If i delete portchannels and make the interfaces as routed port and configure IP addresses, then i can ping each other. So Root and Leaf DUT configurations looks fine.

Is there any limitation to bring up portchannels, the interface speed needs to match?. The Arista VM's are mapped to 100G NIC in the Testbed server.

If I go to Arista VM and make the portchannel mode as "ON", then the portchannel on arista comes up fine but still the other end remains down.

Any thoughts or pointers?

Thanks,
Kamal.

Hi All,

Resolved the issue by setting the configuration "channel-group 1 mode on" on Ethernet interface in Arista VM and while creating the portchannels, set the --fallback option to true in SONiC DUT. Portchannels came up fine and bgp sessions got established.

Kamal.
