   The host system Linux should activate the SRIOV in kernel driver and these VFs should be visible in the system.
These VFs can be passed on to the sonic-vpp as described in the https://github.com/sonic-net/sonic-platform-vpp/blob/main/docs/README.phy.vrf.md.
You can skip the vrf part and just use rest . Hope that helps.

  • VEth interfaces
  • Virtual Functions (VF) of a NIC in SRIOV mode
  • Front panel ports of a NIC in Passthrough mode (VT-D)
So i am curious in VF Of a NIC in SRIOV mode, do these vfs exposes directly or is there any sriov device plugin involved?
