Regarding to file /mnt/platform/syseeprom

Hello,

Function getSysEepromFromFile() reads info from file
/mnt/platform/syseeprom, I know /mnt/platform is mounted from
/var/platform, but didn't find who creates syseeprom. Anybody know the
answer?

And does mgmt-framework expect vendors saving the eeprom info in Redis DB?

Syseeprom file is getting populated from rc.local ("files/image_config/platform/rc.local") at bootup.

• Rc.local contents:

# Write contents of system EEPROM as JSON file

/usr/bin/decode-syseeprom | /usr/bin/syseeprom-to-json > /var/platform/syseeprom

Hi Ravi,

Which branch you checked? I don't see decode-syseeprom used in
files/image_config/platform/rc.local on master or 201911 branch.
