Dear Sonic gesture,

I tested the sonic gesture version before 1.0 downloaded on
Nov 15 2010, it was working fine. However, the detection seems not so
neat as 1.0 as seen in youtube. I then download the 1.0 version and
test on Linux Mint (2.6.32-26-generic #47-Ubuntu SMP Wed Nov 17
15:58:05 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux) and the result is error. Here is
the error.

1. Pop up dialog said "Can't initialize skin finder"
2.

X Error: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) 3
Major opcode: 31 (X_GrabKeyboard)
Resource id: 0x0
"./storage doesn't exists"
"cant initialize skinFinder"
OpenCV Error: Bad flag (parameter or structure field) (Unrecognized or
unsupported array type) in cvGetMat, file /home/peerajak/__Feature__/
OpenCV-2.1.0/src/cxcore/cxarray.cpp, line 2476
Unknown exception!

3. Main dialog does appear, but when try to load video, nothing move
and when try to use web cam device, nothing changed.

Hi Szproxy,

Did you compile Sonic Gesture from source? I discovered I had some
problems to fix there. The tgz contains a folder named 'data'. In this
folder is a 'storage' folder. The Sonic Gesture executable assumes the
data folder is the current directory. Can you try running sonic gesture
from the data folder? If that doesn't help, you can open up a bug report
and I'll fix it in 1.0.1. What you can also do is compile the trunk
version in SVN. That version is configuring the data path correctly.

Hi gijs

I cd to data dir and call the executable from that the software is
working. I still have this error output on the console.

~/__Feature__/sonicgesture-1.0.0/data $ ../build/sonicgesture

Ok well I'll try to look into this when I find the time, in the meantime
you could try out the trunk:

$ svn co http://sonic-gesture.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/sonicgesture/

this one is also configured to use a bigger training dataset
