Assertion failure

I tried to run sonicgesture.exe on a Windows 7 computer, and got the
following Visual C++ Runtime Library error:

Expression: qimage.height() > 0
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I had the 11 dll files (libcv210.dll, QtCore4.dll, QtGui4.dll, etc) in
the same folder as the exe file. I also tried to provide a jpeg file
as the command-line option, but I always got the same error. How
should I test it?

Also, could you write something about how to build sonic gesture from
source code on Windows?

Some people get this error, I think your webcam is not supported or
something. I don't have the time and resources to work on this at the
moment.

Isn't there a description how to build in the wiki? It is quite some
work, I would say first try it with ubuntu/linux or mac.

Again, sorry, I don't have time to work on this at the moment.

Thanks for the reply. The wiki description is all about installation on Ubuntu. Maybe I should try it on Linux too.

compilation really is a lot easier. Also, the pre packaged sonic gesture
works better on Ubuntu. i didn't make packages (yet) for the latest
ubuntu, but probably the old ones also work.

Could you name the model and brand of the webcam that was used in your test of the Sonic Gesture on Windows 7?

For me it is workin with the usb logitech 300 webcam and the macbook isight webcam.
