Subject: [sonic-dev] Call for participants for SONiC 202405 release
SONiC community:
As we are wrapping up the 202311 release (aka November release), we would like to invite you to participate in the next community release: 202405 (aka May release).
If you have any feature proposals for the 202405 release, please write to sonic-document...@googlegroups.com and soni...@lists.sonicfoundation.dev or contact me directly. The candidate feature list will be published to [ Table View · SONiC 202405 Release (github.com)] later, where everyone can access it.
Please note: the features that were deferred from previous releases need to be re-submitted if the development will continue in 202405. We will not move them to the 202405 release by default.
The timeline for the 202405 release is as follows:

11/1/2023 | Call for feature candidate in community - document subgroup, sonicproject | Start earlier because of holiday season |
12/05/2023 | Feature roadmap review in community and kick-off | |
12/13/2023 | Feature submission checkpoint | Re-check and remind |
1/15/2024 | Release roadmap finalization & feature submission deadline |

4/15/2024 | Remind SAI integration | 1.5 month before, remind community to prepare SAI package |
04/30/2024 | Fork release branch | One month before ship date |
05/30/2024 | Ship | Release ship date. No feature cherry-pick allowed after this date. |
