Hi Xu, Praveen,

As part of the break out operation  "ASIC_DB"  state being checked  (wait for port delete confirmation). Agree that this simplifies the back end changes. Is this temporary work around or will it be pushed to master? If not, are there any alternatives being considered to handle it?

This is the short term solution and would be upstreamed. For long term solution, we may have to maintain the port-group concept in orchagent  and even in config-db.  It was not in the scope of the first phase of the DPB implementation, and we don’t have timelines to implement it yet.
