Anyone out there got any experience of what Songkick's Webcal actually
produces?

It's of the form www.songkick.com/users/jockrock/calendars.ics?filter=attendance&key=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
(it's not the API key, it's something else)

So, I don't know what that key is or where it comes from... and more
crucially, can we add more or different filters (for metro area or
venue)? Or could /users/jockrock be replaced with anything else? (Have
tried slotting in metro-area/ with the glasgow area code as well as
various other options but to no avail.

Have scoured the web for some sort of webcal spec but maybe I'm
looking in the wrong place.

Anyone?

Thanks

Hi,

The webcal feed is only available for user attendances, so the events
a user says he's going or might go.

Sorry that wasn't the answer you were looking for...

Again, back to this... I'm interpreting the webcal feed with Wordpress
plugin, iCal Events List. For the user glasgowgigs, http://www.jockrock.org/gigs/glasgow,
I am getting an error: Unable to load or cache ical calendar
http://www.songkick.com/users/glasgowgigs/calendars.ics?filter=attendance&key=**********
No events found within criteria

What actually seems to be happening is that there's a 5 second timeout
(set by Wordpress) and with that being a very large amount of data,
it's giving up. Smaller feeds e.g. http://www.jockrock.org/gigs/edinburgh,
are ok.
I got some coding suggestions on how to maybe filter this a little,
but wondered if anyone had a simple solution? I suppose that because I
am 'attending' every show in a big metro area, this is the problem, it
needs to, if not load for a longer time, only load, say, the first 500
shows before trying to put them into iCal.

Anyway, thought it could be worth asking - I'd imagine someone else
has seen this problem before?
Thanks

S
