And yet another wonderful and important thing to promote, this from Lisa Giles:
My husband David Mitchell and two friends are raising funds to start a
coffee roasting business on Ometepe (Tostadores de Ometepe) to help the farmers sell more coffee
and benefit a community center on Ometepe.
Here is the website on indiegogo where you can learn more and make a donation if you wish.

What a time we had last week! 13 of us were there, including some new folks, and it was a lovely group. When we have a few wonderful voices- everyone sounds better- harmonies emerge, voices blend, rounds become incredible, and it sounds so darn beautiful! And fun! Thanks to everyone for coming and to Darden for hosting and providing us with awesome accompaniment and the fantastic song books. Every time we get together, Darden has added new songs to the book- it is an evolving work that incorporates a lot of diversity and so many songs that we love in our group. The variety is huge. We were talking about songs that we want to have sung at our memorial- everything from the haunting melody of "Crossing the Bar" to "The Cat Came Back", Sada's choice- quite a range there.
Then Sada shared a story about her own adopted feral cat that keeps coming back. Here is more on that story from Sada:
Hey Ladies,
Just wanted to let you know that "The Cat DID come back"!! He was waiting for me in the shadows when I walked across the yard from the garage, purring and rubbing and saying hello. So nice to see him again! My utmost thanks to you all for helping me to call him in again. I know he must have heard all that raucous laughter and couldn't resist. Ah, Don Gato. Wishing all a great week-end. Wasn't it a fun evening?! Thanks again to Darden, too.
Sada
And here are the directions to Sada's:
Directions: Go East on High School Rd.to end of it. LEFT on Aaron. RIGHT on Grand. LEFT on Pleasant Lane. Last house on RIGHT of Lane. (Don't go down the hill on left.)
See you all soon, meanwhile, keep singing!
