Hi Guys,

I have tried searching the web + this group for answers to my
question, but I haven't found anything so I am resorting to writing to
this group.

At the moment, I have a fully functioning website, with most of my
administration tasks complete. What I want to do now is provide
reports within my administration panel.

Example: I have an "event" entity that contains a date and the start
and end time. I would like to take all my events for a certain time
frame and generate a sort of schedule that can be printed out for
administration purposes. This would require a custom page within the
administration area that would allow me to enter a time frame so that
a custom task can take the data and generate the specified schedule.

Is this sort of scenario currently supported? If not, could someone
point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,
Hussein Jafferjee

You can create a custom action as usual and add a link to it from the admin. You can overwrite the dashboard template for instance.

Thomas: A custom action is for something you want to perform over a
collection of items, in the list page right? That means that they
would have to first filter events for a certain date range, then
select all the evens a generate a report out of it. Was hoping for
something simpler.

Sergio: That looks like it could work, I am going to try that when I
get home.

Thanks,
Hussein Jafferjee
