We are setting up our sonarqube server however it will be behind a firewall.   I was ask to provide the FQDN info needed by the sonarqube server to be access the internet to do updates and whatnot.   Basically we need to know exactly what it needs to connect too and not just a port.  Anyone know where i can find this information?

Thanks.

Spencer

Hi Spencer,

SonarQube needs access to:
  • http://update.sonarsource.org to be able to retrieve information for the Update Center
  • and then various web sites that host the actual plugins - depending on who develops them:

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response.   So for plugins do i just look at the homepage for each plugin?  For instance the CSS plugin home page is: https://github.com/SonarQubeCommunity/sonar-css.   I noticed a lot of these are under the SonarQubeCommunity url.  Is that the case?

We will also want to integrate with AD.   I saw an LDAP plugin on your website but it mentioned for AD to use this: https://github.com/SonarQubeCommunity/sonar-activedirectory, however it doesn't seem to be in the the plugin store.    Just want to confirm that is what we should be using for AD integration?

Thanks.

Spencer

Usually, the documentation of a plugin will indeed reference where the binaries can be downloaded. This should help you progressively build a white-list of URL for your SonarQube instance.

Well, let's say most of them are either under SonarQubeCommunity organization, or on Bintray (for SonarSource plugins). But there's a couple of them hosted elsewhere too.
