css:validate-property-value - should not complain about 'min-height: auto'

Hi,

I came across a case in our projects where 'min-height: auto' is specified and the rule css:validate-property-value complains about it.

It seems that this is the correct usage in the standards: https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Web/CSS/min-height

The property is not included in:

http://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/SonarCommunity/sonar-css/blob/master/doc/validators.html

Is this expected?

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

You're right. All 'min-height', 'min-width', 'max-height' and 'max-width' properties were validated the same way. But this is wrong. 'min-xxx' properties should accept 'auto' and should also not accept 'none' per the different W3C specifications.

This issue (https://github.com/SonarQubeCommunity/sonar-css/issues/165) is now fixed in the master branch and will be shipped in the next version (1.9).

Feel free to test the snapshot containing this fix that can be downloaded at https://github.com/SonarQubeCommunity/sonar-css/releases/tag/1.9-RC1
