Hello David,

I haven't seen version 14.1 of MsBuild yet. Can you tell me how to get this version? 

• VS2015 ships msbuild14, but even the updates have 14.0... version numbers
  
• VS2017 brings msbuild15, on my machine it's version 15.1.371.0

BTW msbuild 15 is not yet supported.

The MSBuild version on the server is 14.1 not 14.0 and the project successfully builds with that version.

Does the sonar runner support only 14.0?

Here is what MSBuild reports when requesting 14.0.

MSBUILD : error MSB1040: ToolsVersion is not valid. The tools version  14.0  is unrecognized. Available tools versions are  14.1 ,  12.0 ,  4.0 ,  2.0 ,  3.5

Thanks for looking at this.

14.1 is the version of the open source msbuild equivalent of msbuild tools 14.0.  

 

When building with the open source msbuild it would great if sonarqube supported that as it does so well with other open source software.

We're working on the cross-platform msbuild support. (msbuild15)

Can you point me to the 14.1 version. Is it one of these: https://github.com/Microsoft/msbuild/releases?
