Hi,

I was just going to try out the new SonarLint, and pulled it up in the Eclipse marketplace to install, however during the install I got an error saying:

Unable to read repository at http://eclipse.sonarlint.org/content.xml.
org.apache.http.client.ClientProtocolException

Now its entirely possible this is some network config thing for the office I'm working at, although I tried it from a browser (should this work?), and that got redirected to

which gave me a 404 error from GitHub pages.

Any thoughts on where the issue might be would be welcome.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matthew,

We are using composite artifacts:

Tell me if this is not working for you (there is indeed a redirection).

Ah, ok.  I think it is a combination of things (as they usually are), speaking to the guys here it seems the proxy here uses a set of redirects to do its work, and I have a feeling that this, combined with the other redirect is cause the HTTPClient to decide its got a circular redirect and gives up.
I've installed SonarLint at another office, and it all worked fine.  I think I've also installed other plugins at this office, and its been ok.

So might need to find another way.  Do you know if there is a download of the SonarLint plugin other than through the marketplace?  Maybe I can do the install manually.

Thanks,

Matt
