Hey All!

I'm not sure as to the exact "why" that Dashboards were removed; however, I'd like to voice my extreme sadness in the loss of dashboards.

Prior to the upgrade, we were able to correlate data historically, on a build by build basis, showing deltas and trends in code submissions. Especially useful was the ability to customize views using the "TimeMachine".

When showing this data to our DEVs - they LOVED the trend information presented, so that they could see the direct impact to a build they made for each submission.

We WANT to upgrade, because we do like the new "filters" for projects main page (All/Favorites) - and we enjoy staying current...

... but the loss of dashboards is a HUGE negative impact for us.

We'd love to see dashboards "come back" / be re-implemented.

Feedback is a gift... :)

Hi Peter,

Thanks for this gift. :-)

And sorry for the late response.

It is likely that the Project Activity Stream we're working on (first baby steps visible in 6.3) will address some of this, although not in a graphical form.

Hey Ann,

Thank you for your response: We do like where you are heading with SonarQube (historical tracking / activity); however, we *really love* the TimeMachine dashboard - especially for the "timeline" and "history tables" widgets (customizable).

We also miss the ability to customize our own dashboards, based on desired measures : especially to find the "largest deltas" in the last 30-60 days for given metrics, across ALL of our projects.

Baby steps + continuous improvements = FTW.

We're excited to see the future updates... But we'll hold off on upgrading until we can figure out to how to better report on the changed deltas. (Maybe allow us to filter on a metric : like tech debt or code coverage?) - We love the spark lines showing trends since the last analysis.

Hi Peter,

Sorry to dredge up an old thread, but I wanted to make sure you saw the new graphs in 6.5. RC 1 was put out just today: https://groups.google.com/forum/?pli=1#!topic/sonarqube/1ThRpLMAw1s
