Hi, i'm in internship and i wanted to understand how work SonarQube with Jenkins and SVN, so i make this little layout below :

But i saw that when i created a rule and then i added this new rule to my SonarQube server, when i launch a scanner, the scanner get the rules from the server, make the scan, and send the info on the server.

Is that correct ? Or are there any other interaction

Hi Samuel(?),

I don't understand what's going on in the graphic (specifically the 'set' arrow from Client to Jenkins) but your summary about where the rules come from is correct; analysis uses the rules enabled in the profile on your SonarQube instance.

The client put the data on the SVN and he set when he want jenkins to build (manualy or automaticaly), jenkins do the build by getting data from SVN and then do what you confirmed.
It could be fine if you put a little graphic with computer and how it's work :)
But now it's fine if i was correcte !
Thanks you Ann
