We have SonarLint (3.3.1) in Eclipse, use SonarQube 6.7.1, and use the SonarWeb plugin. SonarLint does not show any of the web issues that we see on the SonarQube server. We do have it binding correctly. Can someone help?

Thanks.

Still can't figure this out. Has anyone run across this? None of our Web issues show up in SonarLint, but do show up on the SonarQube server.. All other type of issues (Java, Javascript, etc.) show up properly.

SonarLint: 3.3.1
SonarQube: 6.7.1
Web: 2.5.0.476

Hi,

SonarLint supports the SonarSource code analyzers (SonarJava, SonarJS, …) as well as custom rules that extend those analyzers. SonarLint doesn’t support plugins running third-party analyzers.

Are you using SonarLint in your IDE?

@Duarte, SonarWeb is supposed to be supported since 2.5:

My bad.
Inna, could you please tell us some of the SonarWeb rules that are missing in SonarLint? I'll try to reproduce.

Hi, thanks for replying.

All of them are missing. Not a single SonarWeb rule appears in our SonarLint.

Thanks.

Hi,

I'm not from Sonar and I'm just making a wild guess, but is your project named Test, or is the word "test" appearing in the path of your files? That would disable most rules...

Regards,
Jonathan.

Hi Jonathan, thanks for the suggestion, but there is no "test" in our files or path.
The rules do work on the SonarQube side, but do not show up in SonarLint on our IDE.

Hi Inna,

SonarWeb is not enabled in SonarLint, it will be fixed in the next release of SonarLint: https://jira.sonarsource.com/browse/SLCORE-178.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Duarte,

Thanks for the info.
This leaves me a bit confused. Per what Jonathan wrote, SonarWeb is supported in SonarLint, but per what you wrote, it’s not?

In any case, can you let me know when the release will come out that will have it working? We can then prepare to install it as soon as it comes out.

Thank you.

Sorry: in my last post, I should have written “per what Julien wrote”, not Jonathan.

Hi Inna,

SonarWeb recently implemented all requirements to support SonarLint. What is missing is SonarLint to whitelist this analyzer (for historical/backward compatibility reasons, we are maintaining a whitelist/blaclist of plugins in SonarLint).
