Missing "VCS Changed Files" tab in IntelliJ Idea

Hello,

since recently, i am missing the above mentioned tab in the SonarLint view of Idea.

I just have "Current File", "Report" and "Log".

I also cannot find any related settings.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Hi,

It's a feature :)

In the "Report" tab, you can trigger an analysis of the VCS changed files (see the buttons on the left), and you will have the results available in that tab.

You can also trigger it by searching for the action (ctrl+shift+A), or if you select "Perform SonarLint analysis" on the "Commit changes" dialog.

Thanks for the quick answer - that explains it! :)

(Although to be honest I'm not sure if it's the best choice to place it there - from a usability / intuitiveness perspective. ;) )
