Hi,

I recently have tried to install sonarLint 2.1.0 in eclipse Mars.1 which already had following plugins installed from marketplace:
    1. IBM Websphere Application Server V8.5 Developer Tools Eclipse
    2. IBM WebSphere Application Server traditional V7.x Developer Tools for Mars
    3. IBM WebSphere Application Server traditional V8.5x Developer Tools for Mars

When I was installing SonarLint 2.1.0 it was showing some websphere specific files being downloaded as well, and after the install, My websphere server view had disabled controls for starting and stopping the server from within eclipse

I believe that this plugin has some conflicts with websphere server

can you please help?

environment details:

CentOs VMware, x64

Thanks & Regards,
Mohit Rodey

Hi Mohit,

Thanks for reporting this issue. I'll try to reproduce and investigate. This is holidays period so don't be surprised if you don't get feedback for a while :)

Hi Julien,

We are facing the same issue as described by Mohit. Is there a fix / work around for same?

Yes Deepesh,

I was able to make it work.
1. You need to uninstall ibm websphere plugin and then reinstall it back again. It should work.

Something gets over written by sonarlint some where and then if u reinstall websphere plugin it starts to work again as new files are back to square one.

Hope it works for you as well.

Regards.

Hi guys,

Sorry this topic is still in my todo list. I didn't had the time to try to get Websphere plugin.

I'm glad you found a workaround.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your Response Mohit but unfortunately this solution won't work in practical scenarios. We did reinstall the plugin but after every consequent WAS stop and start we are observing these issues.
Do we have a stable version of Sonarlint compatible with WAS?
