Hi,

I installed Sonarlint in Jboss 8 and set up the connection to SonarQube Server, after editing the java file it listed all the Sonar Issues approximately 200), i made the changes for one issue and saved the file, after that all the remaining 199 issues were also gone. I opened another java file where on sonar server issues are there, but in Local it's not showing, so seems like after making one changes, local is not updating the error list,it's even not showing earlier issues.

Please let me know, how can we fix this.

Thanks,
Rajiv

Hi,

Are you sure you are using SonarLint and not the old SonarQube Eclipse plugin? Can you share the list of all installed plugins (Help -> About Eclipse -> Installation details)?

Is SonarLint working in standalone mode (ie without binding to the SonarQube server).

OK, can you provide an example of a rule key that raise some issues on your SonarQube server but not in SonarLint?

Strings should be compared using "equals()

This is not the rule key, but I guess this is not a rule coming from a SonarSource analyzer. SonarLint will only execute SonarSource analyzers. PMD/Findbugs/Checkstyle engines are not supported in SonarLint.

This rule i copied from the Sonar Server to which i connected from Sonarlint in my local, i provided the Sonar Server url and credentials, after the setup it listed all the errors( Blocker, CRitical and major) in the local what it shows on the sonar server url, but later on it's not showing in local.

Regarding this rule, i picked from sonar server, i selected Critical->Rule under our project then it shows the list of rule in the left side of the page and number of issues associated to that.

Rajiv

Having the rule displayed in SonarQube doesn't mean it come from a SonarSource analyzer. Check the rule key. SonarSource Java Analyzer has rule key starting with "squid:".
