Dear Sir/Colleagues,
Assalmoalykum.
Greetings!
I think the observation of Prof. Dr. Rashidul Islam is valid. So far my knowledge goes, we are always maintaining the concept that expressed Dr Islam. We feel much honored when we propose a senior teacher or colleague in a specified post as mentioned by Prof Rashid. In many instances I personally proposed the names of senior colleagues in meeting. However, the concept was not followed that we cultured during the new committee formation of Sonali Dal in Agriculture Faculty. Although a colleague has properly raised this matter during the time of meeting but ignored. I was also present in the meeting, but for the sake of unity I agreed the decision.
The number of member of Sonali Dal is gradually reducing as there is no new addition to the tail. In this situation our unity and solidarity, and cordial relationship among the colleagues are very important. My personal honour to all senior colleagues and affections to all younger colleagues (although all are Professors) of Sonali Dal.
Last but not the least, congratulation to the all members of Sonali Dal of Faculty of Agriculture and other five Faculties as well as Executive Committee of Sonali Dal of BAU for the year of 2020-2021.
Thanking you.
Best regards,
Md. Abdul Awal

Dear Sir and Colleagues,
Greetings!
Assalamoalykum.
I am very much disappointed and worried that Prof Dr. M Rashidul Islam (Department of Plant Pathology) and Prof. Dr. Khairul Hassan Bhuiyan (Department of Physics) did not get the invitation mail (of 17 July 2020) calling the Zoom meeting that held on 18 July 2020 for formation of Committee of Sonali Dal of Faculty of Agriculture for the year of 2020-2021.
If we look the appended mailing list of that post we found a limited number of emails in spite of a larger number of colleagues of the Faculty of Agriculture plus GTI who belong to the Sonali Dal. A few teachers from other Faculties in addition of President and General Secretary of Sonali Dal, BAU have also been invited while some actual active members of the Faculty of Agriculture plus GTI were sided as uninvited.
An alternative email: sonali...@googlegroups.com - the common email of SONALI DAL, Bangladesh Agricultural University is also found in the mailing list. It is surprising that many Sonali Dal members some those who previously received all emails from that common email, did not get the email that sent by the General Secretary of Sonal Dal of Faculty of Agriculture (2019-2020) on 17 July 2020. I don’t know the root causes of this discrimination. Some filtering systems may exist in the group mail. It is speculated that the invitation was finely tuned for specific members of the Sonali Dal.
Therefore, many of the Sonali Dal members including probable and potential candidates of the Agriculture Faculty did not also get the same email, I know so far. As a result many of them didn’t not attend the meeting. Can it be considered as a basic/fundamental question for conducting a meeting?
Our main political forum is being struggling to establish the people’s democratic right (voter right) since long and we all are facing suffering in many issues. While in this small area of Agriculture Faculty of BAU, we failed to establish our democratic right. It’s really a pain.
Thanking you.
Best regards,
M.A. Awal
