Not that anyone cared what I thought, least of all the rep at Epic, whose subsidiary 550 Music had jointly released the album with L.A. indie label Frontier. When I told her over the phone — while trying to cadge press tickets to Flop’s January 1994 concert at the Hollywood Auditorium, a show which would ultimately be pre-empted by the Northridge Quake — that Whenever You’re Ready had been my “album of the year,” she sounded about as enthused as if I’d informed her that I’d recently stepped in a particularly fragrant pile of dog shit. Despite the presence on the album of a couple of songs with legit alt-rock chart potential, such as the Nirvana-esque lope of “Regrets,” Flop had clearly lived up (or down) to their name, and the label had already moved on to more pressing commercial concerns.
A year or two ago, I learned while rooting around on Discogs that Whenever You’re Ready — though released at a time when major labels were phasing out vinyl releases — was actually also issued by Epic as a limited-edition vinyl picture disc. I’d been keeping my eye out for an affordable copy ever since, and finally scored one a couple of weekends back via Get Hip Records’ April Fools sale. I don’t think I’d listened to the whole album in years, but it brought back all kinds of great memories this week while spinning on my turntable, and renewed my conviction that this was truly one of the great overlooked/underrated albums of “the grunge era,” and the maybe 1990s alt-rock in general. And it’s still out there on Bandcamp, Spotify and lotsa other music sites, waiting for you to give it the love it deserves… whenever you’re ready.
"When I come back, they want to give me some practice reps before they put me into a game without even practicing a little," Lock said. "I think they have an awesome plan and whenever they feel like they want to put that plan in place, I'll be good."
"I'll always be a confident guy," Lock said. "I'm ready whenever. Whenever they're ready, I'll be ready. I don't know, I've been in this league for, what is it? It's been eight weeks, nine weeks, whatever, [so] they know a lot more about this league than I do and they know a lot more about timing and this whole process.
Hey all,
Still getting to grips with V+,
currently not having ANY luck with talking to any of the 3 global serial ports on the SIO board.
Whenever I try to attach using the code below I get *Device not ready*, I tried different SERIAL ports to no avail. Am I missing something basic?
What to do with the rest of the day? Via "Ma Dalton" we climbed to a viewpoint full of tourists, and I didn't want to stay there. "Well, let's go see that "Digital Crack", I'll climb it and maybe tomorrow I'll give it a try.", I said, looking at the beautiful tower. I was a little surprised to find out that there is a high alpine ridge leading up to the base of that famous sport climb, and since we didn't bring crampons, it took us a while before we were finally hanging on a ledge with a blank wall above us.
Onsight might have been possible, but my fingers were too cold for the first boulder. Even though I feel tired, I climb smoothly and I feel like at home, climbing some Xc on the sandstone. Already the routine process of working the moves is enjoyable.
The changes will be published automatically as soon as they're reviewed and approved by Google unless managed publishing is turned on. The existing "Changes in review" section will continue showing your changes that are in the review process. If your app changes have not yet been published, or are listed in the "Ready to publish" section, you also have the option of moving them back into the "Changes ready to send for review" section. This allows you to revert any unwanted changes that are in review or approved and ready to publish, ensuring that they are not published before you want them to be.
The "Changes ready to send for review" enables you to decide when to send changes that need to be approved for review. Managed publishing enables you to decide when to publish approved changes. And yes, managed publishing will still work as intended.
Take a glass of water. Scoop a small spoon of your starter out of the jar - DO NOT STIR IT FIRST. Drop the starter into the glass of water. If it floats, it's ready to bake with. If it sinks, it's not ready.
The new system is working; Michael and Janet have regular meetings with Judge Gen, Shawn, and the accountants on how things are going, and while there are some bumps in the road, millions of humans are being properly sent to their appropriate destinies. And those in the Good Place are making the choice to leave once they are ready.
The first of the Soul Squad humans to feel ready is Jason. He's won a perfect game in Madden NFL, after thousands of tries, and he's reached the end of his goals in the afterlife. He tells his friends, and throws a big party, with everyone Jason knew in life who are now in the afterlife, including Donkey Doug, Pillboi, and the members of Jason's dance group, in attendance. It's a wild, joyful party full of music and dancing, Jason describing his feelings of contentment to Chidi and Eleanor.
The next day, Jason and Janet walk in the woods to the Last Door. He had made a necklace for her, so she won't forget him, but he can't find it. Janet reassures him that with the way she experiences time, she'll never forget him or feel like he's left her. She says goodbye to him before walking off to let Jason gather his last thoughts and go through the Last Door when he's ready.
Chidi and Eleanor have been happily going through the works of famous philosophers and hanging out with their friends and family members who've made it to the Good Place. Eleanor quickly suspects that Chidi is ready to go and is determined to keep him staying with her. She takes him on a whirlwind tour of Athens and Paris, which were important places in his life. However, Chidi admits he'd already reached that feeling of satisfaction a long time ago when he saw that Eleanor and her mother finally truly made peace with one another, but continued staying because he knew Eleanor wouldn't accept it. Realizing it would be selfish of her to force him to stay when he's ready to pass over, Eleanor tearfully lets Chidi go. On their last night together, Chidi reassures Eleanor that he'll always be with her in a way and promises upon her request to leave before she wakes up the next morning. When the next morning comes, Eleanor wakes up alone in bed with a final parting gift from Chidi: a sexy mailman-style calendar for a full Bearimy, with a different picture of Chidi in a sexy pose and outfit for each page. Janet takes Chidi to the Last Door, where the two of them share a goodbye hug before he walks through.
Eleanor feels ready to leave but Michael also wants to go through the door, as he feels he's accomplished everything and no longer knows what to do anymore now that the Judge has stopped the meetings due to how well the new system works. But as the Last Door wasn't made for him, Eleanor gets an idea. She gets Gen to agree to let Michael go to Earth and live as a human being. Michael is turned into a human and says goodbye to Janet, promising her that they'll see each other again. In his new human life, Michael makes friends, makes mistakes (and learns from them), and experiences new things.
But none of it was complete for him until that quiet moment at the restaurant. The Good Place is a big, ambitious endeavor and that endeavor only works if it knows not only what we owe to each other but what we need for ourselves. Acknowledging small, silly little moments like that are what made this show special. As are the moments that follow when Eleanor must confront the fact that her soul mate is ready to pass on.
The venture-capital fueled cultivated meat industry may be waiting to enter Europe until ready to run all the hurdles. EFSA, which held a two-day forum on the issue in May, might take two years to approve an application.
Determining when pears are ready to harvest is tricky. If you wait too long, many fruit will become overripe and begin to break down internally. Pears ripened on the tree generally have little or no storage life. Don't wait for pears to turn yellow or soft before you pick them. Instead, pick them before they mature and place them in cold storage. Then remove the pears as you need them and allow to ripen until soft at room temperature. Don't expect pears to be palatable right off the tree. Look for these signs to help you decide when your pears are ready to harvest:
Living on a remote island nation susceptible to cyclones, tsunamis and the effects of climate change, students in Tonga need to be ready to continue learning regardless of school closures due to natural disasters or pandemics.
When the project concludes in December, it is expected that 362 teachers will have the skills to develop online lessons and support students to learn remotely. A further 20,279 students and their parents will be better prepared to keep learning whenever disaster strikes.
Microsoft's chief Xbox officer Robbie Bach has thrown down the gauntlet to rival platform holder Sony, telling GamesIndustry.biz that the firm is ready for Sony to say "which market, what date" for the launch of PlayStation 3.
"Instead, really what I say is, whenever they launch, I'm ready," the bullish Microsoft executive commented. "They should just tell me which market, what date, and I'm happy to be there - and we'll already be in that market, it turns out."
