If it's not something you know the outcome to, make it a Contest.
Timing and conflict is something that's best dealt with by asking,
what order makes sense? If it's up in the air, does the player want to
pick up the dice and make it a thing? I generally give the nod to the
Lead, but don't forget the use of interruptions if there's already a
Contest going on. Try not to slip back into "whose initiative is it"
mode; think cinematic and dramatic, make sure everybody gets a turn,
and go with what makes the most sense. And, when it's up in the air,
pick up the dice.
