I did my Scion version this week. I just started by thinking "what makes a character a Scion and is REALLY important to have as rules".
d4 I´d make something about racism, since every mutant has to deal with that. Don´t know about the others.

Thiniking about this:

MUTANT HERITAGE

d4: Earn Plot Point when you Choose to reveal your powers to humans
around you.

d8: Spend a Plot Point to Increase your Insecure or Afraid Strees Pool
when acting against normal humans.

d12: Add a d6 to the Trouble pool t to Reroll any die in a Test or
Contest that includes one of your Ability dice.

Connected Abilities: One free ability and all from a Lead Sheet.

Limits: anti-mutant

So, I was originally going to object to the idea of Mutant Heritage,
because the point of a Heritage is to call it out as special -
Kryptonian Heritage is significant precisely because only a few people
have it in Smallville. If the game is an X-Men game, everyone's a
mutant, so it's not special.

But if the purpose of it is to call out tension between humans and mutants? Hot.

In that vein, your d12 is incongruous with the other two steps. I'd
take it even further along the line of exposing that tension.

I strongly agree with Leonard, in fact I was working on a Mutant
Heritage thing that was along the same lines.

The only thing I would maybe do is:

d12: (gain a benefit) when you Choose to demonstrate your evolutionary
superiority to the human species.

Or something along the lines of embracing mutant supremacy, even just
for a moment. Some kind of temptation there to switch sides, which X-
Characters do with stunning frequency.
