Hello Friends and Bike Riders of Somerville,
As you may know, we are organizing the
4th Annual Rush Hour Challenge to raise awareness about the opportunities and obstacles of multi-modal transportation in the greater Boston area.
The challenge puts a bike rider, a MBTA user, a car driver, a runner, someone on a Hubway, an e-bike rider, and even a walker in an awareness-raising challenge to get from Downtown Boston to Red Bones during rush hour.
We are recruiting volunteers for the even on June 6th. There are a handful of roles. The most important role is to assign one volunteer to each participant to video tape the experience as well as send updates to the challenge organizers who will MC the event from Red Bones. Volunteeers would need to arrive at the MassDOT offices near the Boston Common at 4:45pm on Monday, June 6th. The challenge will wrap up just after 6:30.
The event will conclude at Red Bones and join their annual bike awareness party and fundraiser for MassBike and NEMBA!
Please reply directly to me if you're interested and available to volunteer.
Thank you!
Alex
