Come join us on September 16 for a special Streetwise featuring former Boston Globe reporter Eric Moscowitz. Eric is well known in Boston for his time on the Transportation beat where he was a true safe streets advocate (check out
this article he wrote about commuting in Kendall Square in 2012). Eric is currently on tour to promote his new book, "The Hardest and Longest Race" and at this Streetwise talk he'll be talking about the book and how a wild 1909 contest propelled Ford's Model T, finished off a Boston automaker, and helped make the car king. It was the beginning of the end of sorts for safe streets for a long time. The book will be available for sale at the talk (Porter Square Books will be there) and Eric of course will be signing copies after his talk. So come meet a true friend and supporter of our community, and maybe pick up a great read at the same time! Hope to see you there!
