Join us on Thursday, January 22 for Popcorn Comedy: an intimate standup comedy experience in the Somerville Theatre's 30-seat microcinema. Our carefully curated lineup of comedians has been featured on Amazon Prime, The Second City, Don't Tell Comedy, and the Boston Comedy Festival.

This month's headliner is the hilarious Tina Friml. Known for her animated delivery and fearless honesty about living with cerebral palsy, Tina performs all over the country to sold-out audiences and fans. She has appeared on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, CBS, and Don't Tell Comedy, and is a regular at the world-famous Comedy Cellar. She sprang onto the national comedy scene in 2019 as one of the Just for Laughs Festival's 'New Faces’ and was named one of Variety’s Top 10 Comics To Watch in 2024. Tina's comedy is optimistic, sharp, and uproarious — do not miss her!

- Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.
- Come early to watch classic cartoons on the big screen.
- Grab candy, popcorn, and fountain drinks at the theater's snack bar or bring your own!
- Outside food and drink are allowed in the microcinema (aside from alcohol).
- Beer and wine are available in the lobby.

Opened in 1914, the historic Somerville Theatre is conveniently located right next to the Davis Square T stop on the Red Line. Parking is available nearby. The microcinema is located in the basement of the theater. We can't wait to get things popping at the show!
