Hi Somerville Arts Community,

Sharing this on behalf of a friend and local cultural artist, Jessa Piaia 💖 . Come immerse yourself in the beauty of the 1910s through Jessa's portrayal of Isabella Stewart Gardner. 

I've been to a past performance of hers at the Growing Center, and found it historically informative with well-timed moments of sharp humor fitting for different audiences. It helped me better appreciate a local cultural icon and overcome (some of) my envy for that family background and wealth.

Somerville Growing Center & Somerville Garden Club will display materials on Somerville's Pollinator Action Plan under the CALA Covered Plaza, highlighting native plants in Lou Ann David Park adjacent to the site. Ami Feldman, local AV artist, will present a slideshow of Gardner Museum Courtyard & Galleries while the audience is gathering in the Community Room. Light refreshments served, reminiscent of Mrs. Gardner’s Fenway Court grand-opening in 1903. Attendees can view CALA's Courtyard murals & “Green Roof." This is a Community Benefit Project by a fellowship winner of an LCC/Somerville Arts Council grant, the program is free & open to the public.
