Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Up Close
There’s something special about rediscovering an artist you loved years ago—and hearing their songs in a completely new way.
On October 9, Alec Ounsworth, founder and frontman of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, brings his catalog to the Armory for an intimate piano-and-voice performance. Long recognized for his guitar-led performances, Ounsworth is stripping these songs down to their essentials, putting his unmistakable voice and songwriting front and center.
For longtime fans, it’s a chance to revisit some early-2000s indie favorites. For the curious, it’s an opportunity to discover, or rediscover, a singular voice in a setting small enough to really listen.
Tune in to WHRB Harvard Radio (95.3 FM) tomorrow morning at 11:00AM for an interview with Alec Ounsworth ahead of his October 9 performance at Arts at the Armory.
Make plans now to see Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – Piano & Voice on Friday, October 9. Doors open at 7PM, the music kicks off at 8PM with Jessye DeSilva as the local opener.
Come early for food and drinks, settle in, and spend an evening with an artist whose music rewards a closer listen.
