Call for Artists!
"Let Freedom Ring!"
Modeled after the first residential telephone in the world which was installed in Somerville, the Somerville Museum's "Let Freedom Ring" public art project celebrates lesser known sites in Somerville where freedoms were fought from the Pullman Porters neighborhood to homes where abolitionist and suffrage meetings took place.
Artists are invited to paint a 3D printed replica of the first residential telephone inspired by one of the historical sites. Interested artists should submit:
1) An artist statement about how you would approach and interpret the selected site.
(Paintings do not need to be realistic).
2) A portfolio of painted works that most represent the intended style.
3) A resume or cv
4) A bio
Submit as one .pdf with title "Let Freedom Ring" to step...@somervillemuseum.org
COMPENSATION:

DEADLINE: March 25
