We were wondering...what would happen if we added drums to some of the Improbable Beasts' greatest hits? Or wrote a whole new piece for bass clarinet ensemble with percussion? Or added voice to some of our arrangements? Or added bass clarinet ensemble drones to a groove ensemble? We now have answers.

That's right - singer Courtney Swain (who also plays keys in Shibui) will be joining forces with Improbable Beasts after kicking off our concert with a solo set...Curtis Hartshorn (drums/percussion of Shibui) will be joining in on some of our favorite bass clarinet ensemble pieces during the Beast set, Improbable Beasts will be joining in on a tune or two written by Tim Doherty (composer and bassist of Shibui), with Shibui finishing off the night.
