The Funniest Person in Massachusetts Headlines the Somerville Theater

Join us on Wednesday, May 20 for Popcorn Comedy: an intimate standup comedy experience in the Somerville Theatre's 30-seat microcinema. Our carefully curated lineup of comedians has been featured on Amazon Prime, The Second City, Don't Tell Comedy, and the Boston Comedy Festival.

This month's headliner is the hilarious Liam McGurk. Known for his wildly creative material and off-kilter perspective, Liam is the only comedian to ever win both the Funniest Person in Massachusetts Competition and the Boston Comedy Festival. His inspiring comedy story was profiled in The Boston Globe, and he has performed across the country at festivals like the 10,000 Laughs Festival and Vail Comedy Festival. Whether Liam is exploring pain and perseverance or riffing on Q-tips and Danny DeVito, no topic is too personal or too absurd. We're thrilled to have him headline!

- Doors open at 7:00pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.

Opened in 1914, the historic Somerville Theatre is conveniently located right next to the Davis Square T stop on the Red Line. Parking is available nearby. The microcinema is located in the basement of the theater. We can't wait to get things popping at the show!
