One of Somerville's favorite summer traditions is almost here!
On Saturday, July 18, ArtBeat 2026 returns to Davis Square for a full day of live music, dance, art, food, creativity, and community. From 12:00–9:00 PM, thousands of neighbors and visitors will come together to celebrate the incredible talent, diversity, and creative spirit that make Somerville so special.
This year's theme, REVolution, invites us to explore transformation, imagination, and the power of coming together to create positive change. Throughout the festival, artists, performers, and community members will bring this theme to life through music, dance, visual art, storytelling, interactive experiences, and hands-on activities. As this year's festival reminds us, REVolution is not just a commemoration of the past, but a spirit that propels us forward.
Whether you're discovering your next favorite band, joining the REVolutionary Community Parade, exploring interactive art installations, enjoying global flavors at the Nibble Global Food Island, browsing handcrafted goods from local artists, or simply spending the day with family and friends, ArtBeat offers something for everyone. Be sure to explore interactive experiences presented in collaboration with the Somerville Museum, The Growing Center, and the Somerville Garden Club—from hands-on historical activities to creative opportunities inspired by this year's Flower Power movement, including making flower crowns and garlands for the community parade. With 70+ craft vendors, community organizations, roaming performers, a dance showcase, children's activities, and two outdoor stages of live music, ArtBeat is one of the region's largest celebrations of arts and culture.
