This Thursday: Catch a Fun Standup Comedy Show at the Somerville Theater

Join us this Thursday, December 11 for Popcorn Comedy: an intimate standup comedy experience in the Somerville Theater's 30-seat microcinema! Our carefully curated lineup of comedians has been featured on Amazon Prime, The Second City, Don't Tell Comedy, and the Boston Comedy Festival.  

This month’s headliner is the hilarious Peter Liu, who cofounded Popcorn Comedy two years ago. Peter moved to NYC this fall, but he is back in Boston for one night only to headline the show! Raised in China, Australia, New Zealand, and the exotic land of New Jersey, Peter brings an outsider’s eye and an insider’s charm to the stage. He has opened for Ronny Chieng at The Wilbur Theater and performed at some of the biggest venues and festivals in comedy, including The Laugh Factory, The Comedy Store, The San Francisco Comedy Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival. If you like your comedy smart, personal, and a little unhinged — don’t miss Peter. Watch a clip!

Opened in 1914, the historic Somerville Theatre is conveniently located right next to the Davis Square T stop on the Red Line. Parking is available nearby. The microcinema is located in the basement of the theater. We can't wait to get things popping at the show!
