"Sharing the Light" is the theme of this year's holiday party on Friday, December 12 and we are inviting artists to bring a lantern they have made or any other piece of art incorporating light to create a glowing installation in the gallery and then stay for the party at no cost! Artists may lend the work or offer it for sale. It goes home with the artists or a buyer at the end of the evening, though you can drop off early and pick up late if you cannot make the party. Lanterns should come with an artist label and a price if for sale, but you must sign up in advance. The museum takes a basic 30% commission on any sales. If you have work that "lights up" that you would like to share with the community, please contact me at
step...@somervillemuseum.org.
Come and share your light!
