Greetings!
Please forward this to as many as possible!
Come see my band, Little Mystery, open up for jazz drumming great Bob Moses
(ex- Sam Rivers, ex-Charles Mingus, more...) at Johnny Ds , 17 Holland St.
Somerville, MA on Wednesday April 29th. $10 cover. We are on first and on
early: 8:30pm sharp! That is real time, not bar time or any fictional like
we say that to get you to show up early shit. Be there or be square. Or be a
trapezoid, or a rhombus, whatever! so maybe come by and have dinner at
Johnny Ds, they have great food and then check out the show. I will also be
playing my hat box drum set with this band, which is unusual drum set made
by my friend Ken Lovelett at American Percussion. www.americanpercusion.com
This set has wooden heads and even some of the cymbal configuration is made
of wood or hand hammered bronze. Very unusual. It is also my birthday the
next day so come say hi and wish me happy birthday. I will be 42 years old.
What a freak out! I only feel 41 and a 1/2, actually less than that. Unless
I feel 142, which happens sometimes after a long day. Moses will also be
playing with the great Stan Strickland and others. I hope to see you there!
