Greetings, Someday Garden CSA Members!

I hope that you are enjoying these last weeks of August. We have
potatoes to offer again this week. Kennebecs are in full swing--a
nice smooth, large potato that holds up very well for cooking. We
also have full size yukon golds. Kennebecs and Yukons are $1.50/
pound. We have a small amount of baby yukons left as well, for $2/
pound. New this week is red fingerling potatos. These are gorgeous,
good size fingerlings with a dark red skin and tender flesh. You will
not be dissapointed! We are offering the season's first fingerlings
for $2.50/pound. If you would like 5 or more pounds of any potatoes
we are happy to offer you a discount.

Our sage, rosemary, and thyme is all up for cutting and we are
offering bundles of fresh herbs for $2/bundle (.5-1 oz. bundles
depending on the herb).

We are also offering native bedding plants. I currently have blue
false indigo which I cultivated from seed this year. They are about 6
inches tall at the moment. They will get to about a 3 foot ball in
size eventually, and send up shoots of indigo-blue flowers similar to
lupine blossoms. We also have some blue flag iris--perfect for rain
gardens. Either of these are $3/plant for CSA members. Lastly I have
some 3 foot high cup plant. These will get over 6' tall and have
small yellow sunflower like blossoms. The leaves form a slight "cup"
which carries water after rain. Birds absolutely love these. Ours
get covered in goldfinches. We love watching the finches come all
summer checking to see if the seeds are ready yet.

Please e-mail me at mer...@somedayardens.com or respond to this e-mail
to place an order. Pick up in Johnson Creek or delivery for larger
orders is available. Thank you!
