Greetings, all! Another week has passed and we are catching up with
the weather. It will be another week or so before our lettuce
seedlings have caught up to where they should be. We have waist high
corn, cucumber blossoms and green tomatoes, so start planning for
those! In the meantime, we have begun harvesting our potato crop!
Our first offering to you is "baby" Yukon Gold potatoes. These are
one of our favorite potatoes. They keep well, hold up nicely to
cooking, and have a wonderful texture and flavor. These smaller
potatoes are quite tender--leave the delicate skin on and you won't
even notice it (though your body will get extra nutrients!). Perfect
for roasting! Check out the pictures of tonight's harvest. (Your
potatoes will be rinsed--those pictured are freshly dug!) This first
tender harvest will be $2/pound, or 10 pounds for $15.00. If you
haven't ever tried freshly dug potatoes, this is the perfect
opportunity! Pick up or delivery in Johnson Creek, as well as
delivery to Hartland LCUUC on Sunday, July 13th available. Please e-
mail me at
mer...@somedaygardens.com with your order. Thanks, and
have a great weekend!
