Missing Female Terrier Mix!! Somerville, MA 7-12-12
"Annie" is an adoptee via PAWS New England..she is missing from the Evergreen Ave. area of Somerville. She went missing while her Mom is away on business. She is a nervous girl so Please Do Not Chase...call with sightings. Please share to get Annie home to her Mom!!

Here's hoping Annie gets home soon!

Best,
Michele

I am so sorry to hear of another dog missing. I hope Annie finds her way home just as Chance did. Thank you, Michele, for starting the som|dog forum: it is an effective resource for many reasons, but especially for when a dog is missing.

Michele is correct: chasing a stray dog will usually scare it more. I have been able to catch four different stray dogs over the years and return them happily to their owners with this trick---but please don’t attempt this though unless you feel very comfortable catching a stray dog: Lie on your back with your arms and legs extended in the air. Because you are in a submission position, most dogs will come up and sniff you. That is when to take hold of its collar.

I know I have looked silly in the past making that pose, but not to the owners who were able to get their dogs back home!

Cheers,

Lisa
